Factory Ready Tech Packs

Essential Construction Details | Precise Fit

Tech packs

In order to produce your garment the factory will need technical specifications. A tech pack is the technical blueprint of a garment, translating a design concept into clear instructions for product developers, pattern makers and manufacturers. In intimates design, tech packs are especially important as lingerie requires precise fit, specialised materials and detailed construction.

A well-structured tech pack ensures the design vision is communicated clearly, reducing sampling errors and helping brands move efficiently from concept to production.

What’s Included

Technical Flats

Each tech pack begins with detailed technical flat sketches showing the front and back of the garment. These illustrations clearly communicate panel lines, seam placement, elastic application and hardware positioning. Where necessary, additional detailed sketches are included to highlight more complex construction areas.

Style Information

This section outlines the key design details, including the style name or number, garment category, collection reference and a short description of the product concept.

Bill of Materials

The Bill of Materials (BOM) lists all components required to construct the garment. In lingerie this typically includes lace, mesh or base fabrics, elastics, strap components, rings and sliders, hook and eye closures, linings and labels. Each element is specified with composition, colour reference, size and placement.

Fabric and Colour Specifications

This page defines the materials and colourways used within the design. Fabric compositions, stretch direction, Pantone references and other technical details are included to ensure accurate sourcing and consistency in production.

Measurement Specifications

The spec sheet provides the precise measurements for the sample size, along with grading rules for additional sizes. Measurements may include cup dimensions, underband length, wing depth and strap lengths, ensuring the garment achieves the intended fit.

Construction Details

Clear construction notes outline how the garment should be assembled, including stitch types, seam finishes and elastic application methods. These details guide the factory through the correct production process.

Trim and Hardware Placement

Diagrams and notes indicate the placement and size of trims and hardware, such as strap adjusters, rings, sliders and closures, ensuring accurate assembly and visual balance.

Labels and Branding

This section directs the placement of brand labels, care labels and swing tags, ensuring consistency across the finished product.

Fit and Development Notes (additional service)

Throughout sampling, this section records fit feedback and technical adjustments, helping guide refinements until the final production sample is approved.
